Structured detail for Double Busbar Panel.

Overview

The LMVP double busbar panel is a 12kV fixed metal-clad enclosure arranged for two segregated busbar chambers and a withdrawable circuit-breaker carriage that can operate between front and rear busbar positions.

Fixed metal-clad enclosure components

  • Control cubicle for low-voltage relays and instruments.
  • Two busbar chambers running the length of the switchboard.
  • Current transformer chamber for measurement and protection inputs.
  • Cable box for power cable connections.
  • Voltage transformer and housing, where required.
  • Circuit breaker chamber for the withdrawable part.

Dual segregated busbar chambers

The two busbar chambers are segregated from each other and run the length of the switchboard. Each chamber supports one three-phase set of insulated high-conductivity copper busbars.

Current Transformer chamber

The current transformer chamber provides measurement and protection devices with their current inputs.

Cable box

The cable box connects power cables to the transformer for incomer applications or to loads for feeder applications.

Voltage Transformer housing

A voltage transformer and housing can be incorporated to engage with either the circuit cable side or the busbars.

Circuit-breaker chamber

The circuit-breaker chamber receives the withdrawable part, which normally carries a vacuum circuit breaker.

Withdrawable carriage movement

The circuit breaker is raised or lowered vertically to engage or disengage from the main busbars. The carriage can be placed in the front busbar or rear busbar position, then drawn out or rolled into the compartment horizontally.
