The IEC 298 single busbar panel is housed in a rigid fixed sheet steel enclosure. The enclosure is divided into the busbar and current transformer chamber, control cubicle, cable box, and circuit breaker compartment.
The busbar chamber contains three-phase copper busbars rated at 1250A, 2000A, 2500A, or 3000A. The rear section houses current transformers selected for the specification.
Current transformers may be low-voltage insulated and mounted on earthed screened primary bushings with silica-filled epoxy resin insulation. Bar primary or wound primary types can be used, and the transformers comply with IEC 61869-1 and IEC 61869-2.
The control cubicle houses relays, control equipment, protection relays, and instruments.
The air-insulated cable box supports heat-shrink cable terminations.
The lower section houses the circuit breaker. Guide rails provide smooth, safe entry and removal while ensuring accurate location in the correct position.
LMVP certification highlights for this panel include A-FL at 20kA for 1 second and A-FLR at 25kA for 1 second, depending on installation conditions and ceiling height.
Voltage transformers with silica-filled epoxy resin encapsulated primary windings can be supplied as fixed, withdrawable, or primary-disconnectable units. They can connect to the circuit or busbars and comply with IEC 61869-1 and IEC 61869-3.
